Fiber installation funding is still available

If you plan to sign up for Fidium Fiber internet, and your home or business has a “non-standard drop,” then Lamoille FiberNet would like you to apply for funding with their survey which is NOW OPEN! Paper copies are available at town clerk’s offices, online at https://forms.office.com/g/LVNtYN2qBp , and can be done on your phone with our QR code, at right.

As of September 23, 2024, we have received 86 responses and learned that almost 40 households from Belvidere, Cambridge, Eden, Hyde Park, Johnson, Waterville, or Wolcott may have non-standard drops that require customers to pay to connect to Fidium Fiber.

Of those 40 residents, half reported that their home or business is more than 500 feet from the pole line/road, and/or does not have existing telephone poles or underground conduit, or the conduit is in poor condition. If that describes your situation, your drop is NON-standard and it is important that we hear from you. Lamoille FiberNet has funding specifically allocated to assist people (who live in the above towns) in this situation so that they can connect to Fidium Fiber.
