FiberNet seeks Clerk/Grant Administrator — Dec. 6 deadline

Overview

Lamoille FiberNet has issued a Request for Qualifications and Quote, seeking a qualified individual or organization to ensure efficient administrative support and effective management of and compliance with grant-related activities.

Background

Lamoille FiberNet Communications Union District (CUD) is a special purpose municipality dedicated to expanding high-speed broadband internet services in previously underserved areas of Belvidere, Cambridge, Eden, Elmore, Hyde Park, Johnson, Morristown, Stowe, Waterville, and parts of Wolcott.

Our mission is to achieve universal broadband access throughout the District, ensuring that every on-grid address has access to at least one high-speed broadband provider. We are dedicated to realizing this ambitious goal by the end of 2025.

While construction should be completed by the end of 2025, our responsibilities — principally oversight of our partnership agreement with Consolidated Communications, governance duties, and grant compliance and reporting — will be ongoing.  As our organizational goals evolve, we may seek additional grants as necessary.

This is a contract position, estimated at about 10 hours per week, and the work can be conducted remotely, with periodic in-person meetings as necessary. We are physically located in Morrisville, Vermont, and share office space with Lamoille County Regional Planning Commission.

The Request for Qualifications and position details are available at: RFQ for District Clerk and Administrative Support: Request for Qualifications and Quotes – Lamoille FiberNet

Deadline for Submission

All submissions must be received by 5:00 PM, December 6, 2024. Late submissions may not be considered. Please send your application documents to Lisa Birmingham at director@lamoillefiber.net with the subject line “Clerk and Grant Administrator RFQ – [Your Name].”

Lamoille FiberNet Announces Expanded Long Drop Funding

For most of us, having Fidium bring fiber to the premises (the “drop”) is free.
