Thank you! Community effort made all the difference!

Over five years, more than 7 organizations, and thousands of hours of hard work.

Thanks to the dedication of Lamoille FiberNet’s volunteers and staff, statewide associations, selectboards and legislators from our member towns, Lamoille County Planning Commission, Vermont Community Broadband Board, and Fidium (our partner), high-speed internet is now available to all homes and businesses in Belvidere, Cambridge, Eden, Elmore, Hyde Park, Johnson, Morristown, Stowe, Waterville, and most of Wolcott.

The efforts of so many working together have expanded access to remote work, online learning, and telehealth—opening new opportunities across our communities. Thank you especially to:

Lamoille FiberNet High-Speed Internet Plan Completed

Lamoille FiberNet Communications Union District has successfully completed its Universal Service Plan, ensuring that every on-grid address within its 10-town footprint now has access to at least one high-speed broadband provider. This milestone marks the culmination of a five-year effort, including a two-year construction effort in partnership with Fidium Fiber.

Fidium and Towns Collaborating on Public WiFi Hotspots

Fidium Fiber is currently working with town officials across each Lamoille FiberNet community to identify the best locations for a free public WiFi hotspot within each town. These hotspots will provide free, high-speed internet access in central areas.
