When will fiber internet be coming to your house?  

Over the past two years Lamoille FiberNet has been working hard to put the pieces in place to build a fiber network to serve Lamoille County. They have selected their design/build vendor and are developing plans to begin deployment. To learn more please join Val Davis, the Executive Director of Lamoille FiberNet, and Christine Hallquist, the Executive Director of the Vermont Community Broadband Board for an informational meeting at the Gihon Valley Hall, located at 5503 VT 100, North Hyde Park (parking next to Gihon Valley Millworks) on Thursday, August 25, at 6:00 pm.

Lamoille FiberNet: New Construction; New Install Policy

This week, Fidium will begin construction on the final phase of Lamoille FiberNet’s Universal Service Plan. Funded by a Vermont Community Broadband Board grant and Consolidated Communications, the project will bring high-speed fiber internet services to more areas of Elmore, Hyde Park, Wolcott, Stowe and Morristown.

Signing up for Fidium with a “long drop”? March 31 Deadline!   

If you’re going to order Fidium Fiber, and the distance from your home or business to the pole/pedestal (i.e., the “drop”) is long, the cost of running fiber that distance can be a barrier to adopting broadband internet service. You can apply to Lamoille FiberNet’s Long Drop Program for funding to offset the long drop cost -- deadline is 3/31/25.

Lamoille FiberNet’s LONG DROP PROGRAM — March 31 Deadline!

Bringing fiber internet to a home or business from the distribution network (e.g., the pole at the end of the driveway) is called a “drop.” The cost of non-standard or long “drops” can be a barrier to adopting broadband internet service. To help residents and businesses afford to connect to Fidium’s newly constructed fiber services, Lamoille FiberNet Communications Union District created a Long Drop Program -- deadline is 3/31/25.
